So here’s the story.
We were at a meet and greet for SPG. ONCE we get to Michael, my friend Jaime asks him to say something to my friend Jenn’s pregnant belly. He went all sweet and hugged and kissed her belly and it was just cute and adorbs.
What I didn’t take a picture of, mostly because I was surprised by his sudden appearance, what’s the promptly after, little Steve starts yelling at her belly telling not to trust Michael and that he was a bad man, lol.
It was an entertaining experience.
And here it is! I almost wish there was video because Lil Steve’s bit was crazy and fantastic and I’m pretty sure I jumped as soon as Steve started. But still. Michael Reed hugging my baby bump. Proof positive, Baby Houligan. That ruckus you heard was two very strange but very wonderful men who just wanted to let you know that it’s a weird but fantastic world out here.
And now I feel like I should send Michael a picture of the baby when he or she arrives… yes/no?
And with that, I go back into hiatus mode. Sorry if you just started following me guys.

I’m being really bad about this whole hiatus thing this weekend but oh well lol I have my reasons.
Did anyone who was in the VIP meet and greet get pictures or video of Michael and Steve addressing my abdomen and the baby within?

Welp.
So the whole “we’re going to have Michael talk to the baby” thing? It happened. It happened and then some.
So as soon as Jaime mentioned to him that I’m pregnant and they wanted him to say hi to the baby, he got down on his knees and said hi and was hugging my abdomen and actually kissing my tummy. (And told the baby to be a good person and such.)
As I was recovering from the unexpected tummy kiss (and yes, there’s a picture of it somewhere), Steve whips out Lil Steve- who, mind you, has just been sitting on his belt quietly this whole time- and starts yelling at my stomach. Suddenly the whole room is looking over at me and Michael and Steve as Lil Steve yells that the baby should be evil and how Michael isn’t a good person.
Needless to say, it made the first ever meeting of the band more interesting than I’d anticipated.
(And God help me if I run into them tomorrow and anyone mentions that happening. I will die a million times over.)

*emerges from hiatus to discuss SPWF*
Hey all. Yes, I’m still going: I know there were a few people wondering if I was or not. I’m mostly going to be wandering around with my husband and our roommate for my sake, as I can’t handle being up and around for too long right now. My biggest goals are to make it to the add-on events and the SPG concert.
Some things, though: I know a lot of you are super excited because I’m pregnant and all but PLEASE. Do not touch my belly. I’m having body issues right now and repeated requests to touch my belly - or worse someone just putting their hand on me - is not going to end well for anyone involved. While we’re on the topic of personal space, I will definitely need you to let me know if you want to hug me. My back is bothering me a lot right now, and I don’t want to end up missing an event because someone got overenthusiastic and tackled me for a hug. I wish I could say that I’m just making this up as an example but there was someone who I went to a few cons with who didn’t ever think to warn people when she decided she was going in for a hug. Let’s just all avoid that awkward turtle entirely and be sure to ask if you’re getting into my personal space, okay?
Secondly: If you have any latex on your costume or makeup or whatever, I’m sorry but I cannot be near you. I’m too allergic to the stuff to risk airborne exposure to it, and any stress to my system is stress on the baby.
Lastly: I have very little energy right now. So please don’t be offended if I don’t seem like I’m into talking to you or if I don’t want to hang out. I pretty much plan on crawling into bed as soon as the evening events I want to attend tomorrow and Saturday night are done, and I will probably need to sneak off mid-afternoon Saturday to grab a nap or at least some quiet time for my body to recover from being on my feet for long periods of time.
I think that’s it. I hope I’m not coming across as a jerk or anything, I just wanted to make sure this was said so that people were aware ahead of time. See you in Piscataway!

This is important.
I want to make sure that I’m not posting this tomorrow so that people don’t think that it’s an April Fool’s joke. As of today, March 31st, I’m going on hiatus from this website. I don’t know how long it will last, as I’ve grown greatly disillusioned and disappointed of late with the atmosphere here, and within the month I need to start packing for us to move to our new home. My ask and submit are both going to be turned off. If you need to contact me, my Skype is in the sidebar, but please be aware that I will not want to talk about fandom drama, or people on here, or about Tumblr in general. I need my free time back, and I need to focus myself on what’s going on in MY life, not in everyone else’s. I’m sure there’s someone out there who’s going to think that’s incredible selfish of me, and you know what? I’m perfectly okay with that. It’s high time I was a bit selfish.
I’ll see you when I see you, kids. Jenn out.
